IHR Website Video Services
IHR offers website video services for our clients who use IHR website hosting.
Videos offer a compelling way for you to show your practice to prospective
patients. Adding video to your website allows you to provide more information, increase user
involvement, increase branding, and present a more human touch. Here are some
examples of what you can show with video:
- Local news station television segment that focused on your clinic
- TV ad you created
- Video you created to show your clinic, such as:
- doctor explaining a medical procedure
- tour of your office
- your staff interacting with patients
- medical procedures
This web page contains the following additional information on how IHR can
help you provide compelling videos, on your website, to prospective patients:
- Video Display Options
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

IHR provides Video SEO (search engine optimization) to help your practice
rank well in the search engines. Search engines are starting to place more
emphasis on video along with standard web pages. For example, with Google's new
"Universal Search", they now show some video pages along with standard web pages
in their web search results. Additionally, more and more users are doing
searches on video websites such as YouTube, so it's possible for prospective
patients to find you on these video websites.
IHR can help your video pages rank well on the following websites and
Internet channels:
- YouTube.com
- Google Video
- ITunes subscription
- RSS feed subscription

Many vendors are now beginning to offer video website services. Here are some
questions you may want to ask when reviewing their services:
- What's the bang for the buck?
- If the charges are high (it can cost tens of thousands of dollars), are
you ready to spend lots of staff time and clinic money on website videos?
- Can you achieve roughly the same results for less time and money?
Here's how we add your video to your website:
- You discuss the video with IHR. You can start with your own video, or IHR
can produce a unique video for you, from stock footage
- IHR then discusses the project with our partner media company, Media Pro in San
Francisco, CA.
- IHR then gives you the OK to send your video or DVD directly to the IHR
media partner company. Here's their contact information:

- You and Ted Kambhu (Media Pro) will contact each other (email is fine) to
discuss the video project in more detail, if need be. Please tell Ted which Video Display Option
you want to use - 1, 2, or 3.
- Please CC: the following people in your email correspondence:
- Media Pro does the following:
- Optimizes and formats the video clip for the web
- If you select Display Option 3, Media Pro will create a special web page which both displays the video and brands your
organization
- Hosts the video on their media server
- IHR then creates a link on your website to the video and emails you when
it's done.
Adding a video to your website is not simply a matter of uploading a video
file. In order to achieve the optimum balance between file size and quality,
the the IHR media company partner make lots of adjustments to the video file, including:
- file size
- frame rate
- compression
- color
- lines per inch
- frame size
- kilohertz level
- bit rate
If you are wondering if it's OK to post a video clip which another
organization (e.g. a local television station) created of your clinic, IHR
suggests that you talk with the organization that created the video. They may
give you rights to use the video on your website. IHR has some clients who have
displayed video clips created by local news television stations, on their
websites.
